This is the first in a little series. This is Nyhavn at night. Divided by water, this side is dark. The opposite side is lit up at night with open air restaurants and noisy with excited tourists. This side was quiet. Cyclists passed, a few pedestrians too. I saw the street light light up a patch of pavement and knew it was a location. I waited. People approached and passed through the pool of light and I clicked. It was a location.
Cycling around Copenhagen, I came across this little fellow in the window of a hairdressers. He was staring at me intently, but once I took out the phone he became all bashful and turned away from the camera. He still continued to stare at me, but wouldn’t face me. So cute.
